ME

I’m Javi (Yond), an audiovisual creator, video editor, graphic designer and photographer. I was born and raised in Madrid, with Cuban and northern Spanish roots, and I’ve always understood creativity as a way of connecting with the world around me.

I studied Audiovisual Direction at CES (Madrid) and later specialised in Graphic Design at Trazos (photography has always been with me), which gave me the tools to move fluidly between video, photography and design. My professional career began on the sets of Antena3 as an assistant stage manager. I soon realized it wasn’t exactly where I wanted to focus, so I started developing projects on my own as a freelancer. Later, after specialising in Graphic Design, I joined the Digital Design department at the communication agency Atrevia, where I spent almost four years working on campaigns for major companies such as AstraZeneca, Endesa, Samsung and Ibis, among many others.

Over time, I became increasingly drawn to the cultural and artistic field — where my way of living and creating feels most natural. Since 2021, I’ve been responsible for digital communication and image for Grupo Enigma, the resident chamber orchestra at the Auditorio de Zaragoza with more than 30 years of history. Under the musical and artistic direction of Asier Puga, the group has developed innovative projects in which I’ve had the privilege of shaping its visual identity: from web and social media to posters, audiovisual pieces and stage visuals.

Most recently, I worked on the new production “Petróleo. Una ficción documental”, conceived and adapted by Asier Puga with original music by composer Carlos de Castellarnau, premiered this past May. For this show, I created all the graphic and video work, including a video art piece. The project already has several additional performances scheduled in the coming months.

In parallel, I’ve also been working as a video editor for Atresmedia Internacional for just over four years, one of Spain’s leading media groups, where I edit promos, teasers and content for international platforms and special campaigns.

I’ve lived in Madrid, Australia and Germany — experiences that have given me a broad and flexible perspective on how to work and collaborate in different environments. Whether in a team or independently, I value efficiency, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple projects at once, always keeping creativity at the center.

For me, everything comes back to the visual: images in motion, printed or captured through a lens. It’s my way of connecting, telling stories and exploring new ways of seeing.
